in local news: some NYC bike shops selling out of popular commuter bikes as gas prices rise!
in even local-er news: jesse and i spent yesterday morning tuning up our bikes so i could ride down to chelsea with him today. he's been riding to his new job most days (10 miles roundtrip) and managed to talk me into riding in with him in the mornings. it's a really nice ride, both our house and his office are right near the bike path along the Hudson, which is a pretty decent path (at least along that part...).
and my butt is totally pleased both by the exercise and by my new saddle, which is swanky AND not missing chunks.
