Bless you Mr. Fowles

I found out yesterday that my favorite author, John Fowles, has died. Obviously there is not much you can do when age creeps up on you like that, he was after all 79 years old, but I still can't help feeling saddened by the passing of so brilliant a man. I've read The Magus, The French Lieutenant's Woman, Daniel Martin and the collected stories in The Ebony Tower. I think now I will have to purchase and read The Collector as I have not yet done so.

What a downer. So, I could take inspiration from this and get back to work on my novel. What better tribute eh? Do some writing of my own.

That and finish my left over Kentucky Fried Chicken. Must have sustenance you know, brain power and all that.
