THEN THIS IS THE PHONE CALL I RECEIVED NOT 5 MINUTES LATER:
Hi Raquel, this is Charlie Thomas, Vice President and General Manager of Clearchannel Radio in Shreveport. I received your resume and cover letter today and I would be ecstatic (this was his exact phrasing) if you would intern for us this summer. I understand that your program is 150 hours, so if you put in 3 1/2 weeks of 8 hour days, you could be through with your internship. Then if you like, I could start paying you for your work for the rest of the summer.
I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED!!! I GOT AN INTERNSHIP WITH THE PROMOTIONS DEPT. AT A KICK ASS RADIO CORP!!!!
