Pray. Please.

I've never been a very religious person in my life, but I have always been spiritual. I mean I believe in God and Jesus and everything, I've just never been what you would call a "holy roller." But I do believe in the power of prayer. Especially now. I have to. For Scott's sake.

We just found out yesterday that his dad has been really sick lately and ended up in the hospital (for reasons too explicit to write out). Now they think he might have colon cancer. They are doing the biopsies and colonoscopies today...and we're all a little scared. I'm especially worried about Scott. If you know the guy, he's not one to share his emotions very openly...last night, I could hear the trembling in his voice--he's scared to death. Partially because he knows it could be cancer, and that is what his roommate's father died of a few years ago. The other part he's scared is that he is not there to be with his dad because of work, and he needs the money desperately. He's also scared that if the tests for cancer turn out positive that he might not get to spend as much time with his dad as he could if he were at home.

Could everyone keep us in your prayers--if you pray, that is. We could use it.
