vinyl/CD storage solutions
I'm trying to get my music collection in order and am looking for ideas. I have a large collection and use my music for sampling/mixing/whatever frequently so I want something that is a single unit where I can have long lines of CDs/vinyl in alpabetical order. Most of the CD holder things I've seen break CDs up into smaller groups and look, well, kinda ugly. The last place I lived had awesome built-in shelves that were the perfect sizes for CD and vinyl but my new place (well, I've lived here a year and a half and my records have lived in crates and my CDs are all over the place since then) has nothing I can use for that and I can't install anything in the wall either. I do have a pretty cool space for everything though - a nook in my living room that is like a mini studio with all my equipment and music there.
I'm probably just going to get some generic steel shelving but I wanted to see if you saucies had any ideas to share. I would love to see pictures of how other record collectors have set things up. Thanks!
