We have two small rooms in our attic, which we've converted into guest/office/work/quiet rooms. This is "my" room (my husband's office is across the hall):

View of entry and storage area. I keep a lot of reference materials, which are filed behind the doors under the bookshelves.

My desk/work table area. The paisley curtain hides my sewing machine, fabric, and various sewing notions.

A wider shot of my desk. I also do all my scanning and printing here. The printer is at the far left of the photo.

Most of these items have no functional use except to inspire me. A few of them are sentimental, like the box frame with silver spoons in it. They are the baby spoons of my great-grandmother, my grandmother, my father, and my great-great aunt.

Credenza for storing extra items, mostly photographs and various photography projects I have going on. The suitcases on the floor contain vintage family photographs and old photo albums.

I like to sit here just to chill out, reading a book. The cats also like sleeping here. In fact, our kitten has just parked himself on the cushion!
