How you display your children's artwork

Was thinking an ornate frame with corkboard as a possiblity. On the fridge seems boring.

And since I'm here, random stuff:

Just ordered this for my dining room. Yay!

Love the chandelier.

I don't have kids, but I've had this photo saved in my inspiration folder for one day in the future:

Baking sheets, spray painted nice colors + magnets = cheap, easily changeable frames!

Cute idea - I'll have to keep it in mind! Just last night, the hubby and I were talking about looking for easy change frames for kid art...

This is brilliant!

Now just to find the best place to hang them in my house!

Nice! Did you have to do anything to prime the metal for the paint?

This is just a picture I found somewhere on the internet (maybe even here? I don't remember!), so
i can't answer for sure, but I know they do make spray paint specifically meant for metal. I imagine that would probably work best. I also would probably try to buy baking sheets that weren't non-stick...just in case it made a difference. ;)

I wonder how they mounted these to the wall?

Interesting point. Y'know, I think some 3M adhesive strips would work just fine. I'm currently using them to hang up much heavier things in my apartment. I imagine those baking sheets are pretty light, and they don't have lots of heavy things hanging off them. That'd probably be what I'd use.

I don't have a photo of this (or kids, for that matter), but I doodle a lot and so what I do is scan each piece (or take a good quality digital photo) and compile them into a sort of brady bunch 3x3 set, so it turns 9 pieces of art into one, saves space, etc.

I also recommend taking a digital photo of each piece and then making a photo album on the computer - saves space, declutters, AND you can back them up. Because let's be honest, as much as you love your kids art, you don't need to keep it all forever. (I say this as an adult whose mum has just tried to pawn off all my old drawings on me and I did the scan, photograph, and toss anything that wasn't great or memorable).
