Wow! What a ton of work, but it all absolutely paid off. The new bathroom looks amazing!

I really loved how much detail you put into your post, it was fascinating and the transformation is incredible! SO jealous of your bathtub, we have the tiniest bathroom in the world and while our shower is pretty fantastic, there's nothing like soaking in a tub.

Also, I'm replying to this comment instead of the main thread because I adore your icon. Would I be able to gank it with credit to the creator?

Great finale picture! Congratulations on so much hard work! Looks good!

What kind of oil did you use on the doors?

Thanks!

I used Howard Feed-N-Wax--it's a beeswax, orange oil and carnauba wax blend. Our wood furniture loves it.

I really like the carpentry work - it's fantastic!

(The only thing, I have to add, is that I don't think the shower curtain matches everything else very well.)

Thank you!

I appreciate your candor about the shower curtain. I had the hardest time finding one I liked locally and ended up buying this online. I think it works well enough (it's got colors from the room in it, blues, greys, browns), I liked the circles that kind of echo the circular curtain rings.

But I'm very open to ideas and suggestions--any thoughts on a curtain you think would look better?

It's definitely not "ah, my eyes!" bad - it's just a bit too modern for the rest of the space. The rest of the space is very classic and clean lines. I could definitely see what you were going for with echoing the towel rings, but it comes off as "matchy-matchy", not cohesive.

I think just something a bit simpler, and with cleaner lines would look nice! More classic, less "mod".

But, it might be hard to tell from the pictures, so you should definitely go with your gut, because you clearly have good taste!

Thanks! And I really appreciate your thoughts on the matter. It's hard sometimes to be objective when you're really close to something...or just plain tired of making choices. :-)
