Country Christmas...

Dec 29, 2010 02:17

Here on the southside of Atlanta, we definitely fit into the country niche when decorating for Christmas...take a look!

Our parlor is almost entirely Coca-Cola themed at Christmas (my mom has worked there for 35 years!), so our tree has red and green lights and Coke ornaments. My mom has also started a collecting Coca Cola snowmen now :)

Sorry the ornament came out blurred--I couldn't find a camera setting that worked for it!

I got this idea from an open sauce post, but unfortunately it wasn't until Christmas Eve until I saw the pic...so I took a page from Tim Gunn's book and made it work...somewhat.

The Hummingbird Tree. 9', white lights & gold accents, with only hummingbird ornaments.

We have a light up village that spans an entire half of our kitchen...

This is the family tree, and the only live one we have. It's around 7-8', I think, and has only ornaments that are family-related or handmade from me and my little brother.

The train that goes around normally has snow on the tracks, but this year it started to fall apart, so we had go without. It'll be rectified next year :) Here is a vid of the details on the train, if you're curious :)
