My Studio Apartment
My little "studio" apartment in Minneapolis. I moved in a year ago and still have some things I want to do but I've been dying to post here and I'm TOTALLY open and looking for ideas and constructive criticism!! Please feel free to comment- I will not take offense!!
***i believe the square footage is around 375-400***
First- here's the picture that was my inspiration:
This apartment was DISGUSTING when I viewed it and someone else was living here. The before pictures were taken after I had scrubbed the whole place down! When I was apartment searching I based it on being able to paint the walls and it HAD to have high ceilings for my bed that I had always wanted. Most of my things are from ikea (SORRY!!) because I literally had to buy everything after moving out of an ex bfs home. I figured it was my chance to decorate exactly how I've always wanted to! I love coming home.
I re-painted the cabinets and changed the hardware. Also added a mirrored "back splash" and the paper towel holder. I'm a HUGE Gwen Stefani fan so I had to display some of my magazine covers that I collect :)
I just recently added the mirrors up by the bed- not sure how I feel about them when you look at the whole picture. Any ideas for something else I could do?
When the tree isn't up I have a little black and white dining table in that corner. I've been thinking about wall-papering that small section of wall with the black and white photos on it. I would do it with the same paper that's in the ornate frame. Not sure if it would be too much though....
