My aunt is getting married next weekend, with a Halloween-themed reception, and I am carving the (foam) pumpkins for centerpieces. She has 26 tables so I've been doing very little decorating at home, and a whole lot of pumpkin carving, lol. Here are a few of them:
What, they don't look like much by day, you say? Well check them out at night:
And all of the patterns I've done, so far, have come from this fantastic site: http://www.zombiepumpkins.com , if anyone is interested in undertaking this themselves. I've been using craft foam pumpkins from Michael's, printing the patterns out (full size for the larger pumpkins, reduced by 70% for the smaller pumpkins), poking holes along the design with a corn holder (lol), and cutting with an x-acto knife and also sometimes the regular old pumpkin saws. (Which leaves a much more jagged cut and requires smoothing from the x-acto afterwards, but sometimes is better for precision as I don't have a small x-acto knife).
The hard part is going to be giving these pumpkins up as they are my wedding gift to her, lol!

The whole gallery, so far, can be found here if you want to see them all (well, all that I've listed; my kids recently broke my camera :( ): http://ilwitchgrrl.smugmug.com/Hobbies/pumpkins/9679114_foQwD/1/653714046_Zzxb8
