A little updating

Since it was Christmas time when I posted my loft (http://community.livejournal.com/saucydwellings/1498236.html), there were a lot of things that were bound to change. Right now we're just trying to keep it crisp and airy and make it our little summer sanctuary. Thought I'd update on ( Read more... )

It's the Ikea Malm Bed.

with one side table

and dresser

The bed itself is amazing... though I put the dresser together and the bottom drawer doesn't like to open, but that's Ikea for you lol.

I really love the bedframe though and to be honest, I was scared it would be cheaply made seeing as it was only $200, but I'll be honest, my husband weighs like 300lbs and I chase the animals through here like we're little kids playing and it's taken some abuse!
I always make myself take the time to tuck in the blanket... it's kind of a hassle, but it's so worth it for the impressive look!
The bed spread is from Ikea as well.

i was looking at the malm as a new bed option, do you use a boxspring? probably not eh? but do you think you could not put in slates and make it more stable[or block cat entrances :)] by putting the box spring on the floor inside the bed? or am i completely insane?

Well, I hear the cat thing haha, my cat loves it under there! There is a big metal bar that goes down the center of the bed which is not optional. This metal part holds the slats in place. I honestly don't find it unstable in the least! Which was a surprise to me! Like I said above, my hubby is BIG DUDE haha. I used to have a crappy frame that I thought was going to fall apart every time he would sleep in my bed before we lived together lol
