Our brown bedroom

I would have more pictures, but my camera gave up the ghost halfway through. Literally, I've just been sent the RMA number so I can ship it to supplier!

We moved into our house in September last year. The previous owner's taste ... well, we don't share views on decorating, and let's leave it at that. For reasons of finances, it's only now that I've gradually started to update the look.

I put the finishing touches on our bedroom last week - new curtains and the sheepskin rug on the bed.

(Panorama courtesy of Photoshop. The furniture is not actually wonky in real life.)
The door to the left of the bed goes to the walk in closet, and the en suite bathroom. Neither of them are photograph-worthy yet; I'm getting there gradually. The closet is amazing, but not easy on the eye, yet... Our column oil heater, and the cat climber, live at the foot of the bed. We have two 7 month old kittens; believe me, you don't want to shut them in with you at night with nothing to do. They are also the reason the ensuite is not photographable, as that's where their litter tray is set up.

View from the door. The walls are a colour I find very difficult to describe - mushroom, perhaps? They're definitely a purple of sorts, but the colour isn't terribly vivid. It's restful.
The wallpaper on the feature wall is the same as the pattern on the sheers. It's metallic and reflective, as you can see with the curtains shut and the lights on:

What I really love is the effect of light coming in through the curtains, in the early mornings, with the lights on. I never expected this when I bought them.

The chandelier.

Edited to finish a sentence I'd obviously forgotten to complete. Whups.
