I love how you integrated the wood-grain contact paper in there! Hey, I might need your services when I start on the other guest room - if all goes well, my niece will be here in May.

This is possibly a dumb question, but I'm biting the bullet and asking it anyway...
The scenario: I have this bare wall on my kitchen, and so I took a picture of my 2-y-o helping me make cookies. I wanted to have it developed into a decent size and hang it on the wall. I kinda wanted a cute picture frame - perhaps pertaining to cooking - but everything I've found so far is boring.
The actual question: If I were to attach the picture itself to the wall and create my own border with contact paper decoration (chef's hat, spatula, eggs, whatever), how do you think that would work out? The only problem I can think of at the moment is the bump or crease that would be in the border where the picture ends and the wall begins. But maybe a picture is thin enough that it won't be that noticeable? I was thinking clear contact paper over the pic to protect it and attach it to the wall, a solid colored border and the cutout pieces positioned on the border somehow.

P.S. If you didn't want the wall color to be what shows inside each of the cookie cutters, you could use patterned paper or fabric to act as a "back" to each of or some of the shapes. That would even end up adding some fun little pops of pattern and color.
Seriously, this all makes sense and looks SUPER in my head. I could have completely lost you here, though.

lol no, I completely get what you're saying. I kinda like it, too.
I was talking to my mom about it today, and she suggested getting a plain picture frame and attaching things like measuring spoons, a whisk, etc. to it.

Maybe that only sounds good in my head...
