Decorating for the holidays
I posted pics here of my living room decorated for Christmas two years ago, I think? Two years! At the time, I planned on painting our living room something other than bright white in the coming year. That obviously did not happen, but we did get a new piece of furniture, the tv stand. Anyway, here are a few photos of my 2008 tree and holiday decor. The table was laid in preparation for my dad, stepmom and brother, who came for Christmas Eve brunch today.

Also new is the painting made by my uncle; it's probably as old as I am. My mom just gave it to me recently. The stocking in the middle belongs to our dog Tobi.
Maybe one of these days, we'll have matching chairs, though the vintage ones do have lots of sentimental attachment value.
A new ornament for our tree, this blown glass, handpainted little Kodak! I also got two other blown glass camera ornaments (a Leica and a Rolleiflex) and an antique typewriter. I collect, in haphazard fashion, vintage cameras and typewriters, so I was thrilled to find them.
