I disagree with you. It looks real, not like it's out of some magazine.

Because the things in magazines are not 'real'?

I.E. they are imaginary?

They are imaginary dwellings, yes, if you're talking about a furniture/home decor catalog. No one lives in them; they're just "stages" or "sets" for the merchandise to shine. But if you're talking about a person's home being showcased in a magazine, then of course that's "real." I think the commenter was talking about the former.

Then maybe they would have said 'looks like its out of a catalog'.

either way, they are both 'real'. Just because 'real' people usually have stuff that they keep out on their counters, does not mean that individuals who keep their things put away, are not 'real'.

i suggest you check out www.decor8.com my house looks polished and clean but isn't "imaginary"

for that matter, domino also puts real rooms in their magazines. people clean up a little before having pictures taken, i'm sure, but other than that there are many people (including myself - my house will be posted when i get back into town) who prefer organizing their clutter.

i guess i just don't find "stuff" pleasing to look at, i would rather see design. i like this person's post, they have cool stuff, but i don't see it as saucy from a design perspective. why? none of the elements of sauce are there. why? read the community description

i disagree, i find it infinitely more interesting than most things posted in this community. i think clutter can be saucy, as long as it's done right, and i think this is.

I agree with this - I don't want to live there, but I enjoyed the pics.

I agree with you somewhat. I love love the polaroid wall. It's amazingly awesome. But I could probably do without the rest on this particular community.

i'm so glad you said this. it almost stresses me out how people just don't GET that "saucy" does not mean "the best" it is a style, not an award or level of achievement, it's a CATEGORY. just because people don't think a room is saucy doesn't mean it isn't ass kicking cool, it just means that it doesn't fit into this particular community in their opinion.

i feel like before people were so afraid of snark and confusion over sauce that they wouldn't post their rooms, so it was cracked down on so hard that now people are too afraid to speak up when they don't think something is saucy. why? they get jumped on!

my personal opinion? cool room, cool stuff, rave review from me, i love the dresser it is gorgeous. i love the elements of the room, but i don't like the room from a design perspective as a whole and i don't feel like it is saucy. what do i think is saucy? pretty much everything that was nominated for "sauciest of" the past two years (in community description)

to clarify, i hated the snark too but when the snarky people were cracked down on i think it made people scared to be not completely 100% positive in their comments.

I agree. There are nice things here, but I think even just taking all of the posters and crap off of the walls or putting them in nice frames would make it tons nicer.
