Spooky Living Room
This is the living room in my Dallas apartment that I share with my boyfriend, armored_mind. I'm one of those everyday is Halloween types ;) I do like to think that my style is spooky sauce!
There are a few things we need to do before I feel that the apartment is 100% complete - most of it DIY. However, the living room is the room that I am most satisfied with, it's 95% complete. Hope you enjoy!
There are still a few things I want to with it:
The window treatments are drab, just plain thermal curtains at the moment. I want to make a valance using a Kvartal rail suspended from the ceiling with layers of red and black panels in different lengths.
The ratty pleather ottoman needs to be recovered, we have a slipcover we're going to repurpose, it just keeps getting pushed down on the list of projects.
The biggest change I want to make is a new media center. I don't like all of the exposed shelving on my current one, it looks cluttered. I'm saving for this one. My configuration will be black/brown with wood doors on all of the shelves. That will leave things looking more neat when not in use.
I know the ceiling fan is horrid, so country. We were going to purchase these but it looks like they will not be relisted for quite some time. We will probably make our own.
