Hey guys. My last post was my second favorite room in the house, my kitchen. This is my favorite room. My 16 month old sons room. It's full of fun things and bright, bright colors you couldn't get away with anywhere else. He loves animals, or "nice" as he calls them and going to the zoo. I bought a leaf canopy from Ikea that I knew I wanted to use but it wasn't until I found my inspiration fabric after months of having the leaf in a closet that the room started to come together. I painted everything myself and made the curtains so it was all pretty cheap. So here is my fabric inspiration.
You'll notice this little guy from our fabric. I painted everything with little bottles of acrylic so the whole room cost me about $8.
16 months and he has never slept in his bed. He sleeps in our room. Maybe one day.... When he does we will move the bed away from the wall so he can't reach the leaf.
I used styrofoam balls cut in half and painted brown to make the coconuts 3-D.
Just to give you an idea of size.
Ikea LACK shelf sideways makes a perfect toy cubby/window seat/book shelf.
The little blue buckets fit perfectly.
