Last night, I went to the most awkward dinner ever.

You know how cliques occasionally get sort of clique-incest-y? )

Line dancing is to me as SNL is to you, as in I never knew it was a real thing that people did. People who aren't suburban moms, anyway. In other news your life is a sitcom except your dinner didn't end in an awkward threesome so maybe not.

I am not a suburban mom, I swear! throwingpens has gone too, apparently, down south.

I think the likelyhood of a threesome is low since W's dating someone (who I flirt with like crazy when I see him, ask Amber)

(in retrospect all of this is sort of weird)

This is an accurate statement. She does flirt like crazy, and I do kind of feel bad for W.

Line dancing is a thing. She is correct.

It is weird, but hilarious, also I'm enjoying the fact that he was engaged and/or married at one point because I feel like I'm going to need to do an intervention.

I mean polyamory is a thing so the flirting could end well, technically.

Right, but having met the friend, I feel like she probably wouldn't be into a stable polyamorus relationship, given her jealousy toward our poor sparkle queen. I could be wrong.

I used to do some ceilidhs (think of a hybrid of square dancing and line dancing but to Celtic music) when I was in my 20s. In Vancouver at the time among the hippie type kids it was kind of a thing. Sort of hipster before we knew the word hipster, I fear. Super fun and not a bad way to meet cute people.
