101 Fan Fic Kinks

I came across an old LJ meme called 101 Fan Fic Kinks, and I thought I'd try to write one. For the past few months, I've been keeping track as I write off the things that, for me, are automatic wins when it comes to fic. Now, of course, I like all sorts of things, and I've read stories that work for me despite not matching the things on my list.

I get so invested in AUs that I don't know what to do because they are often long undertakings and so they don't get finished. Which is sad, but I don't regret reading them for an instant.

1. I hear you on so many of these. Like banter, and ensemble fic, and secret dating, and people being drunk, etc.
2. Where's that consent porn fic you were writing? Can I change my bday fic request to that?
3. I want to hear your sex on rose petals story.
4. I'm taking this list as a subtle hint that you're working on a story incorporating all 101 of these kinks. You da best.

Rose petal sex. Well then. I will say this: sometimes, when someone, say, a young person whose own first sexual experience was less than amazing gets the chance to initiate someone into the people who have sex club, she'll go overboard trying to make it special.

I will also say this: when wet, rose petals are not colorfast.

I will keep that in mind. Also, no one's first sexual experience is amazing. (Assuming they're not a fictional character.) It's not even that great for guys. One time a dude admitted to me that the first time he ejaculated, it kinda hurt.

Few things are as wonderful as a complete AU. It's so sad to see them get abandoned.

I agree regarding in character dialogue and behavior. If it isn't in character and it hasn't been explained sufficiently, it is original fiction.

This is a quality list, but it would be good to have a cliff notes version.

49. A character’s fascination with their love/crush’s hands. Putting on gloves? Sucking on fingers? Watching them lick something off their fingers? Holy hell, yes.
