[Just because the picnic had ended hours ago, it didn’t mean that their day had to. Sasuke waited on the other side of the lake where the picnic had been held and waited patiently for his father.
His father, who never game him the time of day save for right before he had been killed. He couldn’t help it, he was starting to get excited to know what else there was that his father could teach him.
He couldn’t even remember the last time he had been this excited. It was either when he learned chidori, or when Itachi had agreed to train him finally. Possibly the latter.]
[Fugaku was pacing around his son, looking at how he stood. He would move a few things here and there, lift an arm, tilt a neck, nudge a foot slightly to check on steps and weights before moving to stand in front of him. He gave him a nod.]
Watch closely. Don't use your eyes. A true Uchiha learns by instinct before relying on their eyes.
[That sound familiar? Weird to hear that from your dad, huh?]
[A blink and curious slight tilt of the head.]
Ah... Of course.
[He gave him a nod before standing beside him. He did the appropriate hand seals before taking in a deep breath and bringing his hands together. At once, big fireballs erupted taking the form of a dragons head. They went off towards the heavens before coming down on a barren spot and causing a lot of damage. The ground shook. Fugaku slipped back to his normal position. A grin on his face.]
[Sasuke's eyes widened at the sheer size of the fireball. He watched as it soared through the sky and crashed to the ground. That was...utterly amazing. He stood there in awe, basically, for a couple of minutes before glancing back up at his father.]
Am...I going to learn that?
Of course you are. I'm going to teach it to you.
[And he moved over to Sasuke, standing right behind him.]
Remember what I taught you before. Feel the buildup in your chest. Wait until it burns and then release it.
[Sasuke watched as Fugaku moved behind him and nodded. He went through the seals, placed his fingers in front of his mouth and took in a deep breath. After several seconds, he exhaled.
It wasn't...perfect, but it was nearly there. It was the correct size, yes, but it looked more like giant ass version of Goukakyuu no Justu. Dammit. He'd have to try again.]
[Fugaku gave a grunt as a response before moving a hand over Sasuke's chest after lifting his chin.]
I'll tell you when to release. Try it again.
[He wasn't...disappointed. Sasuke felt an overwhelming feeling of relief wash through him as he went through the motions of the seal again. He took in a deep breath, waiting for it.]
[The hand stayed against his chest for several seconds until he could feel a slight temperature change. It was the concentration of chakra, the one he needed for the jutsu to work. It was the only other option for a boy who wasn't as skilled. Fugaku took a deep breath.]
Release!
[Sasuke did as told, watching as the giant dragon fireball fly into the air and dispersing. He watches as it flew, and he couldn't help but stare in admiration.
...He did it. He really did it.]
[The hand upon Sasuke's chest padded him proudly. He watched until the explosion faded before moving his hand away and crossing him across their chest.]
That's my son...
[His eyes widened. Did he just say...]
'tou-san...
[He paused from where he was walking away. But he's clearly still smirking.]
Your mother will be upset we didn't make it to dinner. Hurry up.
[He quickly glanced back behind him, just watching for a moment before quickly following.]
C-Coming!
