Still employed

Well, the state is definitely, laying off people, the big question is when. They are keeping everyone on pins and needles! I was called last week Tue after I left work to be told to take my Furlough day on Wed instead of Friday. Why - because they were coming to the East Valley office to lay people off. So on Thur when you get there about 10 am we get an e-mail that it may be Fri. Then later on in the day we get an e-mail that is the RIF (Reduction in Force) plan has not been approved by DOA (Dept of Admin). So now what??
Well, Friday the 20th someone - yes a LIVE person actually came out and told us possible it will be next week between Wed and Fri. If the plan is approved by DOA. The first plan the DOA got the Attorney General involved, guess they thought some of the plan was questionable legally. So only time will tell if I one of the ones to be cut.
God the stress for our office is almost unbearable! We are being treated like cattle. And this whole process just sucks!!!
And our director submitted plans to our illustrious governor to not have lay off over 200 people. But she would not even budge. Wish Napaltino had never left. As she left a plan with the representatives which was borrowing money from somewhere, to avoid layoffs. But they ignored the whole thing. They don't look at us as people, just numbers. JERKS!!!!
If I do lose my job, at least my unemployment will cover my house payment!
