Goodbye-- such a deceiving word.
What good lies in this?
We say goodbye when we leave someone,
The possibility of saying
Hello again remaining unsure.
Who knows if some force may
Take you away forever?
I dream of that day when
We may meet again
Whenever goodbye leaves our mouths.
Will I see you tomorrow? Next week?
Today?
What if I lost you
And that last goodbye
Really serves as
Our last goodbye?
No more hello's or good days.
Then, that word would have really been
An evil spell.
No good resides in that
If I lost you forever.
I would wait patiently for that
Day when we may
Meet again.
I would sit on a
High platform
Looking for your smiling face
That I still hold dear in my memory.
Why must goodbye exist?
I wish for nothing more than
To just stay with you forever.
I dream of that day
When I may hold onto you
For eternity
Never having to say
Hello nor
Goodbye.
crush,
goodbye,
