Look in the little places for inspiration- an accidental notch made in a desk, that discarded pencil wedged in a corner, that smell coming from some unknown place, the broken frozen limb on the tree outside that refuses to fall off, or even the goofy (but lovable) roommate that sits to your right that twists the English language in such absurd ways. You’re an amazingly clever writer, make it work. Stop grabbing at nothing, wait for it to blindside you.
