So 2007 wasn't all that bad. I'd do one of those entries where you reflect back on the past year, but I much prefer to look ahead to the future at times like these.
Uncertainty is probably the key word to describe the year to come. I have no idea what I'm going to do as a college graduate. I leave Mt. Pleasant on the 1st and move back in with my parents... after that it's all kind of up in the air. Here's the plan I'm most likely to follow:
Live with my parents while working somewhere (probably at Gap again) until September when I'll go to France and teach English for an academic year. When I get back (July 2009) I'd move to Colorado and get certified to teach high school French.
I guess what I'm most uncertain of is what I'll be doing for the 9 months that I'm living at home and whether or not I'm actually going to France. Neither of these things are set in stone yet. I haven't finished my application for the program in France... I'm confident I'll get a position, but there's always the chance I won't. I'm also not sure if I should go for a management position in retail or just stick with the whole sales associate thing. I do have a degree in apparel merchandising, but I don't have much retail experience... I don't know if I'd really be qualified for the position. So, do I just do the bare minimum or do I shoot for something more? Meh.
Of course any of these things could change since I don't really know what I want to do in life, haha. Whatevz, I'll figure it out... hopefully soon!
