(no subject)
So Pepper has a new pet. A Mantis, I just watched this thing rip into the face of a cricket, while the cricket was still alive! Talk about crazy stuff! Anyway. I'm well, aside from just being witness to crazy good carnage. Its so weird being with someone who's into bugs the way she is. We have quite a collection of dead bugs in our coffee table. (It has chambers in it for displaying stuff.) And now my mom caught her a mantis. It wasn't dead however. It's quite healthy actually. So Pepper and I went out and picked up a little tank for it, some fake plants, and a bit of wood. and crickets. So we set up the tank, put the mantis in it. and drop two crickets in there. He instantly spotted them and went into hunt mode. The first cricket that got close enough he ripped off one of its back legs. But it got away. And the Mantis munched down on his snack. While he was doing that the other cricket found some of the fake leaves and decided to munch down on them. In front of the Mantis! but the Mantis just finished up, no. He didn't even finish his leg, he just lashes out at the other cricket and hold him there in his vise like grip while he takes his time to eat the leg! The cricket tries to fight back but no use. This Mantis is hungry! And when he finishes up with the leg he starts digging into the crickets face, starting with the eyeball! All the while the cricket is still trying to get away. It was cool yet gross at the same time.
But yeah I'm doing better. I think Pepper and I are going out to eat or we were supposed to go to a pub in Petaluma but the people we were supposed to go with haven't gotten a hold of us. So if anyone else in that area wants to hit a pub in that area want to hang with me and Pepper at some place where they have Guinness on tap. I am so down! anyway. thats all the news for today!
So apparently pepper did get in touch with the other people and its still on for tomorrow night. I'm not sure where this place is but Pepper knows, so if you want to come you have been invited. give her a call to find out where to meet!
