Last nights episode of Queer Eye was absolutely fucking hilarious. They tried to make over a guy who was so clueless and was obviously just gone, and not picking up anything they were saying. The guy failed miserably. Braking and antique martini mixer from the 50’s, totally screwing up the orders getting everyone plastered, by mixing drinks the wrong way. I nearly wet myself I was laughing so hard.
I also bought an interior design program last night, trying to see how things would look in the cottage. I decided to make a deep wine / burgundy as my main base, with a gold stripe about mid way all around the room. Finally, I drape muslin strips down the wall and tie them together making a sort of diamond shape, but it won’t come back at the bottom. I am going to get those little pillars like they sell at Wal-mart and make a coffee table and a TV table. Then I have 2 air mattress that I am stacking (at least till I can save up for a futon), and doing an almost royal blue slip cover, all the accent pillows and things will be a deep dark olive green, black and the blue. All the windows and doors will be accented in the gold. There will be a folding screen with hieroglyphics; the bar will have a cut out of the Eye of Ra. There will be some Greek Art work. The whole theme is really Mark Anthony meets Cleopatra. I might only do 2 walls in the muslin, seeing as the 3rd has a bar and kitchen. If so then I will do one of those boxy things around the top of the window blue with a pyramid shape, like they did on Trading Spaces. If I can find a huge later I will do the ceiling in an off white color the same as the muslin; if I have enough material I might do the ceiling in muslin, and if I can find them silk palm leaves on the fan blades. That is still a while off, little by little, seeing as I am working on a limited budget.
