Got in today from Cayo Coco - Cuba, and I can certainly say I'm exhausted!
It was one of the most enjoyable weeks of my life. We had not one drop of rain and a consistent temperature of 30 degrees celcius. The nights were cool and the people happy.
I barely managed to avoid getting sunburned but damn am I glad I did. There were times in the afternoon when the sun became unbearable but the beach provided a cool breeze.
In my opinion, I thought the food was great and I do believe the hotel lived up to its rating of 5 star. We stayed at the Melia Cayo Coco. The staff were friendly, helpful, and I do believe, geniunely happy to be there.
Michael and I met several people, most from Canada or the U.K. We also made friends with several of the workers there - a couple of the dancers as well as some of the events staff.
I would love to ramble on but my eyes are heavy with sleep. I'll post more soon and as soon as I have pics, I'll try to get them up as well.
