And I have a story, as I sometimes do!
So I never intended to write about an Ancient Egyptian priest and a mummy having sex in someone else's tomb. It just kind of happened.
This story is set in the New Kingdom period of Egyptian history, which took place from the 16th to the 11th century BCE. According to Wikipedia, it was Egypt's most prosperous time and marked the peak of its power. So that's cool!
Historical sources: THE INTERNET. By which I mean Wikipedia, but also The BBC, the Ancient Egypt section of Tour Egypt and Ancient Egypt: An Introduction to its History and Culture. I also extrapolated a lot of stuff, although I tried not to intentionally make stuff up. My knowledge of Ancient Egypt has increased dramatically in writing this, and I also had a lot of fun. (Except that I had soooooo much trouble writing a sex scene without using "cock" all the time, it was seriously hard you guys)
