So, my Post Every Day Or Else plan seems to have fizzled out to Post Every Two Days Or Else, but that's okay. The important part is that I'm actually posting regularly again! Goooooo team!
My current location is the ground floor of Uvic's Human and Social Development building, where the lab I work in has been relocated for the summer due to earthquake-proofing in the Clearihue building. And so, while the sun shines brightly and the bunnies frolic outside, I'm in a basement with fluorescent lighting and no windows. On the plus side, I have a job where I can actually just sit around making LiveJournal posts when we're not busy or otherwise occupied. It's a fair trade-off.
In keeping with my Do X Every Day attitude lately, I've practiced voice for at least half an hour every day this week. I can't really practice as much as I should during the school year, so summer should be my time to devote myself to music like crazy, but that doesn't usually happen. This summer will be different! Current repertoire includes Aaron Copeland's I've Heard an Organ Talk Sometimes, Vaughn Williams' Silent Noon, and pretty much everything from my big book of Mezzo-Soprano Opera Arias.
Basics of Sculpture goes well. I got a B on my cardboard sculpture, brought it home, and the cats promptly tore it to shreds. Everyone's a critic. Fortunately my next project is metal, which is a little bit more difficult to destroy.
Aaaaaand that's another informative post from me. I should have an affair or something in order to become a more interesting person to read about.
