ILU LIGHTNING. That is exactly how I would respond if my sister told me she was secretly a lizard-person and was marrying her boyfriend, on my birthday. Also, if Lightning is 21, Serah is probably like 18? And that is terrifying. Serah, I don't care if you're going to become a rock, you can't get married until you go to University or a work exchange or something! That's just not okay!

Okay, I take back my dislike of Snow, he's okay. The thing I really like is that he's willing to walk the walk. The way he grabs a gun and goes "we're Pulse l'Cie and we're here to kill you all!" in order to clear the area of civilians is really important, and demonstrates that he's not just doing this hero thing to look good. Also the shielding Hope with his own body thing, very impressive. Also I love that Hope stayed in the piggyback even though he could walk just fine. Way to milk that sense of obligation, kid.
Okay, one thing that bugs me is that the worldbuilding in this game is fairly comprehensive, yet there is no explaination for the apparently very high death rate. By which I mean, what's with all these dead relatives? Nora I can believe, because her death happens in the middle of an in-game crisis in which lots of people died. But how did Lighting, Snow, ect.'s parents die? How did Sazh's wife die? What is going on in Cocoon? Maybe this will have something to do with the fal'Cie. On the other hand, maybe it will just never be explained.

I'm getting used to the gameplay, but that doesn't mean I really enjoy it. I don't hate it, but I just really really love towns you guys. And the director's response I read confirms my original fears about next-gen RPGs. Companies like Squeenix will feel they need to focus on outdoing themselves with next-gen graphics, and other elements will be left behind. Seriously I'd be happier the other way around.
There is way too much Hope/Lightning fanart on Pixiv. Come on, people, it's Lightning/Hope - if they ever hook up (when Hope is not twelve, please), Lighting tops sooooo hard, whether or not pegging is involved. ...And I think it is.
