So I'm sure you've all been eagerly awaiting my opinion of Dollhouse, now that I've seen nine episodes! And my opinion is that I've liked some episodes and disliked others. I like some of the writing, and some of it is so bad it's kind of embarrasing. But in general I feel it's getting much stronger as it goes on, and it's a flawed but ultimately feminist-minded treatment of a reeeeally dodgy subject.
My favourite characters are definitely Echo, Viktor and Sierra. I'm pretty sure someone's said this already, but it's impressive that the characters who are supposed to have no personality feel more dynamic than most of the non-Dolls. (Although I miss Mafiya!Viktor.) Topher is the most entertaining character, but I don't like him - he's like the worst things about Joss Whedon's Wash-type characters rolled up into a little sociopathic ball. I wasn't interested in Dr. Saunders at first but after Episode 8, I so totally am.
Note to Writers: Please make Boyd turn out to be gay. NOBODY WILL SEE IT COMING. PLEEEEASE.
