Which is why I haven't updated. But, uh, here's a list of long-ish stuff I wrote in 2008.
Fanfiction
Maybe Someday, Chapters 1 and 2: Because if you want something right, you have to do it yourself. I have to say, I am *really* proud of the last scene in Chapter 1, and that's been a difficult act to follow, which is why this is taking so long. I had hoped to finish Chapter 3 before the end of the year, but that didn't work out. Expect it sometime... in the first part of 2009. And then there might be a sequel. Because I'm out of control.
Girl's Night In: If I could only write two fics this year, I'm so glad this was one of them. It could have been longer, but whatever - I set out to write about Ty Lee's worst sleepover ever, and it turned out almost exactly the way I imagined it. I consider that a success. Ty Lee has a special place in my heart, and I fully intend on writing more about her lesbian antics in the future.
Not Fanfiction (Shousetsu Bang*Bang stuff.)
Going Home: In which Rachel exploits her knowledge of Guatemala to write like 800 words of BL. No, but this may be the best thing I've ever written. Which is rather sobering.
Sweet: I like my coffee like I like my women... covered in bees! If I had to go back and redo something I wrote this year, this would be it. Because this concept is incredible and totally deserves better than what actually happened here. But still. COVERED IN BEES!
They Can't Take That Away From Me: The concept for this story came from a round of intense brainstorming that I did quite a long time ago (this was also when I thought up The Emperor's Last Concubine and another story that has yet to be written). In the end, I'm not sure how well this story worked, but writing it made me happy, so in that regard it was a success!
The Emperor's Last Concubine: Will be in the new issue tomorrow. So you can see for yourself.
