LITTLE MERMAID

Nov 13, 2008 17:38

It took me a long time to do this, because some of the kanji when Nagato infodumps are so tiny and messy they were just impossible to read. So I didn't! So this part has a couple of little gaps. If you read it, and read Japanese better than I do, and you want to enlighten me, I would appreciate it.

PART 11

Kyon: Are you an Esper too?

Fake Koizumi: Yes, that's correct. Although only within that particular space.
More importantly, can you please not treat me too differently from now on?
Nagato-san explained the situation, but because I am the "Koizumi Itsuki" who currently exists in this world...

Page 2

Haruhi: Koizumi-kun, come here for a second!

Fake Koizumi: Yes, I'm coming.

/Face - voice - body
They're all the same as the "him" I knew.
The only thing that's definately different is that
He doesn't smile at me./

Page 3

/I wanted to destroy that smile so much, but really, I was protecting it
I don't understand
Now
There's nothing
(I don't understand this line)/

Page 4

/I'm so tired.../

Kyon's Sister: Kyon-kun, lend me your scissors...

Kyon: ...on the desk.

Kyon's Sister: Okaaaay...
Huh?
Is this yours?

Page 5

Kyon: Oh... Nagato gave it-

Kyon's Sister: I see. I was surprised!

Kyon: *I really didn't feel like reading, so I forgot about it.*

Kyon's Sister: I know this...
It's the story of the Little Mermaid, right?
The mermaid princess turns into a human, but she doesn't get a kiss from the prince,
And then a fake princess shows up, right?

Kyon: ...Huh...?

Page 6

Kyon's Sister: The mermaid princess can be saved if she stabs the prince with a dagger, but she doesn't do it, so she

turns into foam and disappears.

Kyon: That's stupid.
*Why did Nagato give me this?
In the first place, he
isn't some sort of 'Princess,' rig-*

Page 7

Kyon's Sister: Ah!?
Kyon-kun!? Where are you going...!?

/It couldn't be
It couldn't be/

Kyon: Nagato
Nagato!

Page 8

Nagato: ...Come in.

Kyon: Nagato.
I think I understand. Please listen.

Page 9

Kyon: The mermaid who turned into foam and disappeared...
that's Koizumi.
And the fake princess who appeared in front of the prince...
that's that guy.
But there's one thing that's different.

/A feeling like a prayer/

Kyon: The Prince had two chances to help the mermaid princess.
The first was to kiss her and bind them together.
The second was to be killed.
He never once acted like he wanted me to rescue him,
and he wouldn't be able to kill me.

/The last
hope/

Kyon: But
BUT

Page 10

/I want to reach it/

Kyon: I kissed him so many times
So hard
So many times
That's why he's different.
(I can't read this line.)
I was the one waiting for him.
He's not some mermaid who disappeared into foam!

Nagato: ...yes...

Page 11

Nagato: Koizumi Itsuki is alive.

/I found it/

Page 12

/I finally caught
A single fragment/

Nagato: Suzumiya Haruhi was in a state of extreme confusion.
There was also (something something something.)
Therefore, she decided to leave the decision up to the concerned party.

Kyon: The concerned party...?

Nagato: ...that time
Suzumiya Haruhi transferred the power of God to Koizumi Itsuki.

Page 13

Nagato: And in order to prevent the expansion of Closed Space...
Koizumi Itsuki used the power of God
and for her sake, wished for himself to disappear.

Kyon: ...So it was Koizumi's own wish to disappear.
I thought it was weird.
Since there was no way Haruhi would make a member of the SOS Brigade disappear.

*Kyon! Koizumi-kun!*

Page 14

Nagato: And so Koizumi Itsuki began his own disappearance.
However, before the very last fragment could be gone,
The power of God had to return to Suzumiya Haruhi.
And the reempowered Suzumiya Haruhi did not wish for Koizumi Itsuki to disappear.

Page 15

Nagato: (Something about transforming memory), she created a new Koizumi Itsuki
And hid the real thing inside the past.

Kyon: Inside... Haruhi?
Then, you don't mean...

Nagato: That's right.
Right now, Koizumi Itsuki is

Page 16

Nagato: In a Closed Space.
