I don't know how much crossover there is on my friendslist between Avatar fans and people who have seen the Aida musical. But I'm going to post this anyway because writing it made me laugh!



Jet:
To sail away and make a new beginning

To rid myself of all my old obsessions
Escape the Fire Nation's tyranny

Zuko: You're talking about Ba Sing Se?

Jet: Well, for now.

Zuko:
If I could gain my honour, I'd be sailing
To corners of my land where there would be
A hero's welcome, if I were prevailing
Pride shining in my father's eyes - for me

Jet: Well let's go sailing, then, Lee! We can hijack this thing no problem. You can be my guide.

Jet:
There'd be no Fire Nation thugs to bind me

Zuko:
No destiny that I could not pursue

Jet:
I'd leave my quest for vengance far behind me

Zuko:
I'd dedicate my life to something new

Jet and Zuko:
But why should I tell you this

Zuko:
A stranger I just met

Jet:
Some guy I hardly know at all and should forget

Jet and Zuko:
A future we can only dream of
Enchantment passing through
And how is it I say these things
So easily to you

Zuko: We can't hijack the boat! It's full of refugees! And besides, I'll probably never see my home again.

Jet: You talk like you've given up! If you don't like your fate, change it! You've fought against the Fire Nation, you're not a coward! ...If you're not even going to try to make things different, don't expect me to understand.

Zuko:
So why did I talk to him?
A stranger I've just met
A "freedom fighter" I don't know and will forget
He can't learn who I really am
Enchantment passing through
And I would be his enemy
if he only knew
