Election Results
So, despite what everyone else may believe, I don't think the world is going to end just because Stephen Harper is prime minister. Better a minority than a real Conservative government. I may not trust the Conservatives enough to be a majority (I feel like getting elected rurally means their MPs tend towards the sort of rightist philosophy I dislike), but a minority ought to mean they'll be more moderate, and I agree with them on issues like ethics and electoral reform. Altogether I'm not unhappy with the results.
What made me really happy is that Belinda Stronach was elected for the Liberals! I love Stronach, she's the most entertaining politician in Canada. She needs her own sitcom.
In summary: had I been able to vote, I would have voted Green. Oh, the Green Party. It's so awesome.
