I came very close to not graduating this summer, thanks to the wonderful financial aid office. I can always count on them to screw me over some way. I mean, thanks to them screwing up my aid several times, I graduated a whole semester later than planned the first time.

I just happened to log in to my account today to double-check what my course numbers were so that I could be certain I was buying the right books ($209.00) before class starts Monday. It really pays to be obsessive compulsive sometimes. My account had no information for Summer 1 so I frantically ran over to the registrars office. I had no idea, but my classes were dropped for nonpayment and I was never even notified that there was a problem with my financial aid. Apparently when I went to double-check my aid a few weeks ago, the person I spoke to failed to mention that I needed to fill out another form. I had to plunk down a check for $1472.00, borrow $500 from my dad, and sheepishly ask my still-somewhat-new landlady if I could pay my rent after my disbursement goes through next week.

I'm trying not to freak out too much that I have no idea where or if I will be working when my paychecks stop coming in August.
