Summary: Uniting two camps won't be easy when he's conflicted with himself.
Notes: Kiiiiiind of got the idea for this one from reading the opening chapters of Mark of Athena; it's barely related, and I don't see any spoilers in this at all really, but there's a warning, just in case you're psychic-ly good at speculating or something.
With memories filling in like the hull of the drydocked warship, Jason grows increasingly twitchy. Leo finally kicks him out, complaining that he's messing with his barometer.
It fades, picking up again only after they set off; he only just keeps from flying off on his own once they reach Colorado.
The appearance of Half Dome comes with an unexpected wave of nervousness. He grips the hilt of his gladius and drapes a toga over his shirt, but he can't help the sharp pang that comes with the realization that he's become an outsider where he was once a king.
