Dear authors of scholarly texts,

Please stop suing Dan Brown. The only thing he is guilty of doing is cutting and pasting ideas from all of your books and making a sub-par novel.

You can't sue someone from taking scholarly information from your books and using that to make a story. If you can, then every author in the world needs to be sued.

If he were stating the events in his book as fact, and did not cite his source, then yes, you could sue. But a historical fact (and I use the word fact loosely because we all know about dialectics) is not intellectual property.

If you invented it, it is fiction, and you need to get sued.

So, if you plan on suing Dan Brown to get your book read, please....Go die.
