So we ended up not going fishing because the place out in Hondo is closed for the season. We would've wound up at Lake Calaveras as an alternative, but to get all the way out to Hondo (which is like...a really small town that almost isn't a town?) from my house is already like an hour's drive, so ten minutes on the way to the lake my dad was like, "You wanna catch a movie instead?"
So we went to see Act of Valor and it was pretty good (I wrote a thing about it on Tumblr) and I shamelessly cried over the ending because soldiers being awesome gives me feelings. /o\ My dad and I had a fairly decent day where we didn't do a whole lot of talking but still had a good time being in each other's company as opposed to just two people quietly (and sometimes awkwardly) sharing a house. It was neat. Now comes getting back into writing and waiting to see how the weekend goes. Deadline for this story is on Monday. We'll see if I actually finish. /o\ But on the upside, there's a planned Skype chat on the horizon with Miss Katie, so I'm looking forward to that! And also getting all my registration out of the way.
Also, I can't await until my loans consolidate. Yeah, the government is sending me a somewhat bigger paycheck, but I had a new loan kick in this month so I'm still getting stuck with just a little over $260. And once I start paying for classes...
Ugh. I gotta find more things to put on eBay. Or maybe find a way to sell more books. Or maybe really consider becoming a foot fetish model.
Also, if anyone knows how to effectively get a song out of your head, please let me know. I somehow got "Someone Like You" by Adele stuck in my head at one in the morning and it hasn't gone away since. I should note that I really fucking don't like that song. Enjoy Adele, but that song is just...so... I can't. No me gusta. It was fine the first time and now it's like everywhere and I just can't. :|
