I was just about to go to bed...

...and then I got caught up watching the intros to some of the shows I watched as a kid.

Samurai Pizza Cats:
This one I used to watch more or less back-to-back with episodes of Sailor Moon, especially during hospital stays. Since I hardly slept very well, I was almost always awake at 6:30, 7am--totally awake and ready for this.

And since I've already mentioned it...

Sailor Moon:

When other girls wanted to be princesses, I wanted to be a Sailor Scout. Fuck yes. I still want to be a Sailor Scout! Sailor Saturn all the way.

Bucky O'Hare:
I did not remember this one until after stumbling across the page on TV Tropes. But it was definitely among one of the cartoons populating my childhood.

Captain Planet:
What was actually on my brain at the moment is the closing theme song to Captain Planet, but YouTube doesn't have a version of the video that doesn't cut to some Japanese song or to something else similar to a Rickroll midway through, so just have the opening speech narrated by Levar Burton instead.

Does anybody else remember that episode where the Soviet Union girl's...brother or cousin got hooked on drugs and died? The only thing I really remember from that episode is that the drug was called Bliss and the Asian girl announcing the brother/cousin's death. "He's dead. Bliss killed him!" Narmtastic today, but heavy stuff when you're a kid.

Hang on. I just pulled it up on Wikipedia. The girl's name is Linkaa, and she lost both her brother and her cousin to drugs in two separate episodes. What the fuck, childhood cartoons. Here's the first part of the episode I remember.

New Year's Eve was alright. Pretty much the same stuff downtown as everywhere. This year, however, I got a cool light-up sword that changes colors with the push of a button! I predict pictures for the camera soon, especially once I buy the wig I've been drooling over--but after I pay the school and a loan. *sigh* Sometimes, I hate being a responsible adult.

Also? Some guy on TF2 tonight kept mic-spamming in my direction while he was also trolling everybody else. It prompted Sally to become a protective spouse, which I'm sure confused everybody else on the server. XD And then some other guy was like, "Is there a girl on the internet/other side (aka, team)?!" I can't quite recall if he said "internet" or "other side", but we basically then reminded him that, duh, there are no girls on the internet. Didn't he know? It's practically a rule or something.
