(no subject)
Hey! I'm being careful not to be gone for toooo long from livejournal. I was coming close to disappearing again.
So, in the time that I didn't update, not a lot happened.
Work: been decent. getting a lot busier now for sure with lots of reports coming in to look at. My boss is going slightly insane...he now talks a lot more to himself and with a lot more inappropriate language. lol!
also, have I ever mentioned that I love my port hope colleagues? they're all really nice people and I love chatting with them in the break room. I get along really well with Dale, Trish, Peter and Ron (other than Anthony, of course...)
I had a meeting in toronto today so I got to learn about all the other projects that hardy stevenson is running with. some interesting stuff there...there's a possibility that maybe I can ask to switch projects and get more engineering work...
Halloween: I didn't do anything halloween weekend. I didn't even really leave the house (gross...). I did sit around on Sunday night with my roomie and one of his girls and we had some whiskey shots and beer...we didn't have many kids come to the door. so sad.
Port Hope: not doing tonnes there. I've started to go to the library after work...it's just cozy to read there and I just feel like I'm being more social even though I'm not talking to anyone. it's just nice to be where other people are.
the trees are all very pretty colours right now! the town looks beautiful! although it's starting to get quite chilly. my room is very cold and I'm worried that my fish are going to die from it!! I don't want them to freeze!!
This weekend: I'm back in toronto this weekend. today, like I mentioned, I had my meeting, then I met my dad for lunch, then I went off the the national women's show and got some free samples and such. I might drop by tomorrow if I get a bit peckish...tonnes of food to eat. lol!
Went curling tonight...my dad was skipping and had all spares on his team and the other team had their back end as spares too. it was funny because the second who was sparing on my team was the wife of the two spares on the other team. there was a joke that whichever team won had bragging rights at breakfast the next morning: luckily we tied!
Tomorrow I'm meeting jackson for dinner and drinks. should be fun! I definitely <3 him! and then on sunday I'm going out for high tea with malu and possibly seeing nik before heading back to port hope so I can work on monday!
sad when I can summarize everything I've done in 2-3 weeks in this short an entry. I used to write an entry this length for just a few hours of my day!
SUMMARY
