it's sad when you're excited to go to work just to beat the boredom...
This is how little anything goes on here...I don't even have much to say in this post and it's been how long since my last one? if we all recall very well, I used to write tonnes about ONE day...now once a week gets a post that's a fraction of that. lol! Let's see what we come up with...
I still haven't finished painting my room (don't know if I mentioned I was painting it...). I'm too short to easily paint the ceiling and my shoulder hurts pretty bad for a few days after I try, so I need to take breaks...I now have my room in shambles (no bed set up...just a comforter on the floor) and a section of ceiling not even attempted at being painted. I'll finish it soon. it's nice to at least have a coat attempted on the walls since the sage green is totally soothing, and also clean. the walls were pretty dirty so it's nice to have the new layer.
Went to the Lindsay town fair last weekend. Was going to go w/the boys on the Saturday for the tractor pull, but I ended up going over to Kurt's...which was probably a good thing since the guys were all drunk and high and driving...and totally beligerent...it might have been highly embarrassing since I'd have been the only girl. But went to the demo derby on sunday night. it was good times. super awesome. I even tried to fit in w/the locals and wore one of my plaid shirts...good thing plaid was in this past year so that I actually have some! Also, it was warm since it was close to flannel.
Work is going well...I'm starting to really get to know more about the project. I go to meetings with Anthony now, so I get to see what's really going on...not just what I read and pick up from things that Anthony is saying. I'm also starting to get more to do so that I'm not bored all the time. I even have things that I can take home and do in the evening. I'm working more than 3 days occasionally too.
Well, that was a pretty good run! I actually wrote a decent entry. I'm pleased. Heading home to Toronto tomorrow! excited to finally be back in the city...woot!
SUMMARY
-there is still nothing going on in Port Hope...who knew?
-stiiiill painting my room...this could take weeks! I'm too short and my shoulders are too busted. on the plus side sage green is a lovely colour.
-went to the Lindsay fair and watched some cars get destroooyed! wore some plaid just to fit in...
-Work is getting interesting...attending meetings and Anthony is giving me more tasks
-off to Toronto tomorrow! yay!!
