This past weekend I have finally transitioned out of living out of bags and boxes.
My job is kind of slow, but I am trying to appreciate it. I am going to Kona, HI in 12 days! And I will be there for 6 days before I go to Kauai for another 6 days. I really need the break! I am also looking into my options for grad school. I am really silly and I still do not want to take the GRE, let alone study for it! Bleh. I think I do not have a choice, unless I want to go to school for a MA degree in Political Science. I found out that I can go to SFSU without taking the GRE if I want to get into the Political Science Department. The cool part about that is that Dr. Guo, my professor from SMU for International Relations and Chinese Politics, is there as the advisor for the Undergraduate studies…but I am not sure if I want to get a Political Science Degree. I want to be sure about this because I am going to get a PhD and I do not want to waste my time in something that I will not enjoy doing for the rest of my life. I am a little lost right now because of that. I think I would enjoy getting my degree in Anthropology, although, I would most definitely have to take the GRE no matter where I go. The other problem is that I would like to get my Master’s degree on a part-time basis so that I can work full-time to pay the bills. This is near impossible if I do not work for the University that I would like to attend. If I take the GRE, I would like to go to UC Berkeley.
Ebu got free screening tickets to see the movie Madagascar on Saturday. It was a good movie. It was even better because it was free and I snuck my own strawberry twizlers, and Japanese rice crackers into the movie. I use the Arare (rice crackers) to mix in with the free popcorn we got. It is best that way. ^^ On Sunday, we cleaned up and I went to target to get a SEWING MACHINE! Yay!
After that, we went to see Star Wars: Episode III. I love the way Yoda fights. He is the coolest flying green ball of doom! Episode III made me loath Darth Vader even more than I ever have before. Damn him and his hate!
It was soooo cute during the movie. There is a line in the movie from the Chancellor when he was speaking with Annican Skywalker; the Chancellor states something to the matter of, “There is a plot by the Jedi to take over the Senate.” Immediately after that line, a little, little boy in the audience yelled, “He is lying!” with a very serious tone. I laughed inside soooo hard! Now that I have seen the new trilogy with all of our technological advances we have made in the movie industry, I would really like to see a recreation of the first trilogy. I have the special edition box set of that trilogy at home with the modifications of select scenes to make it more realistic and techie…but I would still like to see it recreated from scratch. I know they will not because I think that is a line that the film makers would not cross, plus it would be really expensive.
I am still planning on going as Okita from PeaceMaker Kurogane. A new addition to my plan includes my sister and Ebu. I know that it is cooler to go as a mob than alone, so they will be shinsengumi with me! Now that I have begun rallying my troops, I am sure to have a mob at Anime Expo in July 1-4. ^_^
