so i happened to be in the lab at the right time when the dean happens by and pulls me from work to talk to the curators of the local flight museum who were interested in the school and to find some students to work on senior projects to help them build and maintain simulations. I hit it off with them quite well when i talked about the lab and some of our programming accomplishments, that i got invited to lunch, then to a meeting where they showed off some of the things they wanted for the museum. one of the people in the group was a toy inventor for hasbro and made that robopuppy that's quite realistic and does all sorts of stuff. cute little critter. and he brought a mini jetrocket that was about the size of two hands long and about 3lbs that had 20lbs of thrust, meaning 2 of them could lift a small adult. A JET ROCKET!!! it was so spiffy and tiny and made of total awesome!
so it look like hiller aviation museum's gonna be looking to us for projects X3. score!
and speaking of projects, shattered is well underway. we've come up with a unique spin on a battle system! i really hope this works out!
