being a tester is a lot of work. training. searching for bugs. writing bugs.
Tuesday. the team warmed up on an early version of 007: everything or nothing, and wow, bugs galore. not only was i trying to figure out what exactly i was supposed to be doing, i had to look for anything with english. dialog. signs. subtitles. the like. omg.
and then my cube mate told me about debug. ya-ho! invincible! i turned on invincible and went on with the game, finding many bugs. and all kinds, too, like english dialog and signs and fun things like suddenly sinking thru the floor in the middle of a level. (and, no, that's not supposed to happen).
Wednesday. we got a final version of EoA and wow, the difference. not only was the game complete, we had no cheats!! and i sucked at the driving levels. but it was so much fun. but work fun. we had to look for our previous bugs to make sure they weren't there anymore and verify they were fixed.
Thursday (today). i'm on my first project - sims 2 for ps2. this is a pre-alpha version, meaning that the game's not even complete. we're warming up on it to learn how the game works and such. can't tell you anything about it until it comes out. that would be cheating. (and besides, it's not allowed. i'd get kicked off the team and then some.)
Tomorrow. more sims fun! yay!
