the adventure of the flu
so yeah. i was out with something on wednesday when bossman called and said half 4th floor was out sick and a confirmed case of swine flu. so i'm like, crap. flu symptoms. i sit near the guy. just great. not to mention i'm burning up at this point.
So jei takes me in to urgent care. closed. to the er. fortunate. turns out i had nearly a 102° fever. i've never been that hot before. they put an incredibly cold iv in me and start doing tests that i still don't know what half of them were for, tell me 15 different things, and make us wait around for 5 hours just to stick a q-tip up my nose and tell me to wait for the results. took them a half hour just to get me a cup of water :/
at least two days later, i finally know i had a really bad case of ordinary flu.
(they had originally told me it would be the next morning wtf)
still don't know what the rest of the tests and vials of blood were for.
i hate ERs.
