and break continues

Christmas was nice this year. We went out to Seth and Tosha's for Christmas Eve, and got to bask in the presence of family. Christmas morn was just the folks, Justin and I, but it was good to just relax and take things easy. I got roped into volunteering for church camp the next week- only stayed for 2 days and 2 nights, but still felt like it was enough. Kinda reminded me of my RAing days, except that we had to pay closer attention to where our campers were at all times (7th grade through seniors in high school: just the right ages to keep parents worried ~_^).
New Years Eve was also laid back this year: just a group of us lounging in front of the tube, eating good food and watching good movies. The impressive displays of fireworks our neighbors set up also helped set up a celebrative mood. I can honestly say that I welcomed the new year with a smile on my face, and peace in my heart. The last year has seen an amazing amount of changes in my life, but those changes have been mostly good. I have loved, been loved, helped, been helped, shared sorrow and shared joy with too many people to count. I am truly blessed cannot put into words the gratitude I have for all of you who have touched my life, just know that I think fondly of all of you.
Justin leaves for Fairbanks on the morrow, and mom and dad both have work as well. Crazy to think that I still have 2 weeks of time to continue resting and getting antsy for the new semester. That and about two weeks till I see a certain lady as well- the mere thought of which brings a smile to me eyes and a wonderful flutter to my tummy. Well, time to sneak away afore I wax too sickingly romantic- just know that I am happy, and truly contented with my little lot in life. Peace be with you, my friends.
