grrrr
i am nearing a point where the next clerk that is rude or apathetic to the point of being rude, is going to be torn a new asshole by me! this is the second time i've gone up to giant eagle and on this time and the last, the freaking clerks are rude. this time the guy just stared at me and it was all he could do to tell me my total. i was at the service counter. so i just gruffly stated what i wanted, which was a pack of smokes. then after he clears the id thing he asks for my id, "you got an id," so i yank it out and hold it up like, "jesus christ, you already cleared it." i pay and then stalk out of there mumbling obscenities. i don't care how bad a day a person could be having, you can still find it in you to at least say hi and thank you. as a store clerk myself i may be a little too polite but at least i aknowledge the customer's prescence. i'm going to go there again some time, if i get the same attitudes i'm going to obnoxiously say, "you know, it wouldn't kill you to be polite, i mean you ARE getting paid." i know i shouldn't get all bent out of shape over something so trivial, and i'm not, it just annoys me that so many fucking people act like working is such a chore. it is a chore, but everyone has to do it! so get over yourself! and what's with the people that when they're going through a door and you're right behind them and the just let the door swing in your face? once again, common courtesy is apparently UNcommon.
