After the Blaine Blind Item debacle, I'm doing my best not to speculate too much. My blood pressure can't take it.
I'm very curious how they are going to shift directions in terms of Blaine's pursuit of Kurt (which I think is inevitable). I do think he is interested, but wary, so I hope they give him good motivation to move past his wariness.
If they screw up Santana's storyline in Sexy, it will bug me 1000x more than the Blaine debacle. Seriously, I hope they have been building to something, because my girl's characterization has been through the wringer this season and I want her to be strong and confident in herself again.
I really HATE the idea of external factors (like homophobia) being the reason ND beats the Warblers. 1) I think they should have won at Sectionals- the performance was a better show choir performance; 2) What kind of message is it to have your kids lose when they are the better team (last year's Regionals vs. Aural Intensity) and win when they aren't (not to say the Warblers will be better, but from the songs alone, that is a strong possibility).
IDK, there is so much promise for awesomeness and train-wrecky-ness coming up. I'm just going to try to keep calm and save my rage for afterwards. :P

It's cruel how Glee plays with us. The community was gnashing their teeth about WIGYA, and it turned out to be the greatest thing ever. Then, when the Blind Item + the Blaine/Rachel kiss was revealed, we eventually got down to a level of "IT'S GONNA BE OKAY IT'S GONNA BE AWESOME REMEMBER WIGYA?" and we were then blindsided by the utter trainwreck that was a promising storyline. Thankfully, there doesn't seem to be any Super Stressful spoilers this time around.
I'm trying to pinpoint when they decide to shift directions. If "Animal" is in fact from Blaine's POV, then that's probably the start. If not, I feel like we're not going to get any outright confirmation of Blaine's (change of) feelings until after Regionals, and that's when "absence makes the heart grow fonder" and "Misery" will occur. But as you said, there has to be something that either encourages Blaine to act or to recognize his feelings. Right now, I'm hoping it's going to be something Kurt says or does that helps Blaine find himself again and that's going to start a domino effect.
re:Santana: I do think they've been building up to something, but it's whether they can properly combine all those characteristics into the climax now that's worrisome. I wonder if we'll get a kiss out of her and Brittany? I'll be pissed if BIOTA happens again and Will and Holly steal necessary screen time that should have gone to resolving Santana's storyline :///
1. I wish I knew more about show choir and vocals in general. Like, it's clear that ND's dancing >>> Warblers' walking in Sectionals, but I don't know how much that factors into show choir (other than it must a bit) and whether one was vocally better than the other.
2. Oh, wow, despite referencing that moment, I still somehow completely missed that parallel. This is why I'm hoping that the Warblers don't obviously trounce ND, ND clearly edges them out (from both audience and judges POV), and it's actually a battle for second place with Aural Intensity that is decided by external factors. probably not gonna happen, though :/
Tbh, I actually think the Warblers aren't going to do very well with "Raise Your Glass". I mean, it'll be a great performance and probably hilarious (isn't Kurt's dance moves supposed to show up again? Immediate hilarity), but unless they decide to step outside their comfort zone, it's going to be very... strange against the lyrics. they're going to all be wearing the same uniforms, which, from the start, sort of grinds against the message of RYG. and even considering BBB and WIGYA, their ability to do complex dancing as a group isn't very impressive. though maybe BBB style movements are best suited for RYG...
(plus, seriously, their entire shtick is about tradition and fitting in and conformity. "raise your glass" doesn't fit them at all as an anthem - which is probably why it was chosen. I'm hoping they'll be filming and editing RYG in order to emphasize the dissonance. though, lol, I hope we get another of Darren's "gangster" faces during the appropriate line.)

Kind of busting in but
Is Aural Intensity really that big of a competition? I was under the impression they came in second last year because they did a ONJ/Josh Groban mash-up. Not because they were that skilled in particular.
